Tom has been a full-time entertainer his entire adult life. He began as a singer with bands and, later, became a popular mobile DJ / vocal impressionist whose repertoire includes showstopping impersonations of Neil Diamond and Tom Jones. He also performs singing impressions of other legendary singers such as Frank Sinatra, Engelbert Humperdinck, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Tony Bennett and other legendary singers.
The celebrity impersonation act germinated in the summer of 1996 when Tom's wife and business partner of over three decade, suggested the transition from local entertainer to a national act as a tribute artist. In November 1997, he debuted his Jazz Singer era Neil Diamond act at University of Western Ontario. His show was an instant audience hit.
Since that first gig, Tom has entertained at many major venues throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. "Diamondheads" (Neil's top fans) everywhere have hired him to perform at many fan club gatherings, official "Neil Diamond" birthday parties, and fan cruises. Tom has met Neil Diamond and his band members on several occasions. Does Neil approve of Tom? During a concert in State College PA, Neil, spotting Tom in the front row, leaned over the stage and, pointing the mic at Tom, told the crowd of many thousands, "This guy sounds just like me!." Opening national act credits include Engelbert Humperdinck, whom Tom considers a friend, comedien Jackie Mason, Kool and the Gang, The Guess Who (featuring Burton Cummings), Bare Naked Ladies, Jay and the Americans and The Lords (Germany). He's shared a stage with Kid Rock, Vanilla Ice, Nellie, C&C Music Factory, Phil Robertson family (Duck Dynasty), Lindsey Vonn and others. Casinos throughout the U.S. and Canada regularly book Tom as a solo performer or with his tribute bands. Legends In Concert, the premiere tribute production show, has hired Tom Sadge as their Neil Diamond to perform at Foxwoods CT, Atlantic City NJ and Myrtle Beach SC. Tom has also been the "Neil Diamond" in multiple other top production shows in both the U.S. and Canada. In recent years Tom left the production show circuit, which requires weeks away from home, behind and began to focus on own show, usually 90 minutes or less, but which can be customized for any event. His "Neil" can be performed solo or with one of his tribute bands. Tom is a favorite for corporate special events coordinators. In 2016, Tom traveled to Baltimore, MD to perform at Under Armour's 20th Anniversary celebration, where he was, according to a Baltimore Sun article, mistaken for the real Neil Diamond as he sang "Sweet Caroline" with CEO Kevin Blank. Professional and college sports teams (football, basketball, baseball and hockey) regularly choose Tom Sadge to lead the crowd in renditions of the National Anthem and/or Sweet Caroline. Penn State football team invited Tom to State College PA (Beaver Stadium), where he sang Sweet Caroline to a crowd of 107,000 fans (09/30/2017). Other pro sports clients: Phoenix Suns; Arizona Rattlers; Philadelphia Eagles; Dallas Cowboys; New Britain Rock Cats; Scranton-Wilkes Barre Penguins; Portland Sea Dogs, as well as at the retirement party for College Football Hall of Famer Tom Osborne - a party attended by the legendary Barry Switzer. As a former MC and DJ, Tom's hosting skills put him in demand for state and county fairs, corporate functions, conventions, outdoor concerts, amphitheaters, festivals, fundraisers, charitable events, country clubs and active adult 55+ communities. Guests at weddings, bar mitzvahs, landmark birthdays, anniversary and retirement parties are always pleased with the magic Tom brings to celebration, including Christmas and holiday shows. Television and radio interviews include a live interview at New York City's Top 10 radio station, WPLJ, with legendary Scott Shannon and co-host, Todd Pettengill at their Madison Square Garden studio. Television credits include The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet (NYC); ABC's The Next Best Thing; Inside Edition and AMC's special, Lookalikes and, most recently, as "Neil Diamond" on a 2017 episode of Adult Swim's Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter.
